Our Agreement with You An agreement, which incorporates these booking
conditions, is formed between us once we have received and confirmed your
booking for a meeting event at Monkhouse Hill. This will normally be
done by exchange of email.
Payment
A minimum Initial Payment of 15% of the accommodation element of your
booking is payable upon confirmation of your booking.
The balance of the total cost, including any catering provided through Monkhouse
Hill, will be invoiced at departure and due for immediate payment.
Cancellation
In the event that you need to cancel your meeting booking, then as
long as you provide at least 7 days notice by email, no further payment
will be due. Initial Payments made will however not be refunded. If you
cancel less than 7 days before your scheduled arrival, then an amount
equalling half the accommodation element, less Initial Payment already
made, will become immediately payable.
Non-availability of cottage
as booked
We would only cancel your booking if the cottage(s)
was unavailable for reasons beyond our reasonable control. We would attempt to offer you
alternative accommodation, however if this was either not possible or not acceptable to
you then we would refund to you all monies paid for the booking. Our liability to you
would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival and Departure
Your cottage(s) will be ready for you from the arrival time
agreed when the booking was made. You are asked to vacate all cottages by the
departure time agreed in the booking.
Complaints
Should you find any faults or have any complaints
during your stay, please advise us of these immediately so that any appropriate action can
be taken. Any unresolved disputes may be referred to arbitration.
Liability
We do not accept liability for damage, loss or
injury unless caused by proven negligent act or omission of ourselves, our employees or
contractors, or agents of the same, whilst acting in the course of their employment. This
include loss or damage to vehicles and their contents, and to the personal possessions you
bring with you.
Damage and Breakages
You are responsible for any breakages or damage you
cause to the cottage(s) and its contents. Please report these before you leave, or else we
will send you an invoice which will also include an administration charge of £25.00. Note
that we do not normally charge for minor breakages (eg glassware, crockery) provided that
these have been reported.
Web Site
We make every effort to ensure that the information
and cottage descriptions contained on our own and other web sites are accurate. We do however reserve the right to make small changes
and we accept no liability for minor inaccuracies.
Smoking
All cottages are strictly non smoking inside. We do
however provide 'smokers outpost' disposal points for anyone wishing to smoke
outside their cottage.
