The wedding itself may take place at one of a range of nearby licensed locations,  such as Greystoke Castle or the famous Gretna Green, followed by a reception at Monkhouse Hill.

Another option is to get married quietly at a nearby Registry Office on the Friday or Saturday of your arrival, and then have a Reaffirmation Ceremony (also performed by the Registrar) in front of your family and friends during the reception at Monkhouse Hill on Saturday or Sunday.

A marquee for 45 to 150 people can be sited alongside the cottages - the atmosphere of guests mingling between their cottages and the function is truly unique.

For functions with marquees we do require you to book all nine cottages (which can accommodate 44 plus cots/z-beds) - see  'exclusively yours' for details. We can provide details of nearby hotels and B&Bs for any additional overnight guests.
